There are many excellent places of all skill levels to mountain bike out here. I am cutting a mountain bike trail on my property riding up and across all 3 mesa levels. The desert roads in Terlingua Ranch are a nice way to get fast miles and see the neighborhood. There is a large network of singletrack trails near the Lajitas Airport which is about a 75 minute drive from our place. A bit further down the road, Big Bend Ranch State Park is filled with trails that support multiday bike-packing rides through old mining camps filled with old equipment.
